Consultancy Services

Support is tailored to client needs and delivered on a retained, part time, or project basis. Where the scope is clearly defined, fixed rate packages are available. More complex or evolving requirements are quoted separately.

My approach is practical and proportionate, focused on management systems that work in real organisations and stand up to audit scrutiny.

Outsourced Management System Support

Many organisations require effective Quality and Environmental Management Systems but do not need full time internal roles. I provide outsourced, proportionate support aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 , tailored to your organisation’s size, complexity, and risk profile.

Support can include acting as an external:

  • Quality Manager

  • Environmental Manager

  • Management System Lead

Typical activities include

  • Development, maintenance, and improvement of QMS and EMS

  • Ongoing compliance and audit support

  • Internal audits and management review facilitation

  • Nonconformance, CAPA, and corrective action management

  • Supplier quality and environmental oversight

Management System Development

Support for organisations establishing, improving, or scaling their management systems.

This includes:

  • QMS and EMS development and implementation

  • System review and continual improvement

  • Process definition and practical documentation

The focus is on usable systems that support delivery and decision making, rather than unnecessary bureaucracy.

Gap Assessment and Audit Support

Practical support to identify gaps, prepare for audits, and close findings efficiently.

This includes:

  • ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 gap assessments

  • Internal audit support

  • Audit readiness and remediation

  • Support during certification and surveillance audits

Support is delivered with a clear understanding of certification body expectations and audit behaviour.

ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026 Transition Support

Revisions to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are expected in 2026, with a formal transition period following publication. While final requirements are not yet confirmed, the direction of travel is increasingly clear.

Areas likely to see increased emphasis include:

  • Organisational context and interested parties

  • Risk based thinking and opportunity management

  • Integration of management systems with business strategy

  • Leadership engagement and accountability

  • Environmental impact, climate considerations, and lifecycle thinking for ISO 14001

I provide practical and proportionate transition support to help organisations prepare early, avoid unnecessary rework, and integrate change sensibly into existing systems.

Transition support can include

  • Early gap reviews against emerging requirements

  • Impact assessments on existing QMS and EMS arrangements

  • Targeted updates to processes, documentation, and controls

  • Advice on timing and approach aligned to certification body guidance

  • Support through transition audits when applicable

The focus is on evolution rather than reinvention, building on what already works and addressing change where it adds real value.

Organisations do not need to act prematurely, but those who understand the likely impacts early are better placed to plan change calmly and proportionately.

Supplier Quality and Environmental Oversight

Hands on supplier quality and environmental support focused on risk reduction and performance improvement.

This can include:

  • Supplier quality and environmental controls

  • Supplier assessment and performance monitoring

  • Supplier nonconformance and CAPA support

Documentation and Compliance Support

Targeted support to ensure documentation is compliant, controlled, and usable.

This includes:

  • SOP and procedure development

  • Management system documentation review

  • Change control and document control support

Flowchart titled 'Our Process' depicting four stages of quality management: Assessment, Implementation, Audit & Certification, and Continual Improvement. Each stage includes relevant tasks such as gap analysis, developing solutions, internal audits, and performance monitoring. The flowchart emphasizes quality, clarity, and control through stages of assessment, development, auditing, and ongoing optimization.

How I Work

All engagements are clearly defined before work begins, with an agreed scope, deliverables, and timelines. This ensures clarity, proportionality, and practical outcomes from day one.

I do not provide off the shelf templates or guarantee certification outcomes. My focus is on doing the work properly, so audits become a confirmation rather than an ordeal.
